WPI Email on iPhone and iPad

How to set up your email on an iDevice.
An Exchange connection is recommended for accessing your email, as it allows you to use most of the features set up in your Exchange Account. Here are the basic steps for setting up a WPI Exchange email account on Apple iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads:
  1. Select "Settings"
  2. Scroll to and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
  3. Select "Add Account..."
  4. Select the "Microsoft Exchange" option
  5. Enter the following information into the associated fields:
    • Email: username@wpi.edu
    • Password: Your WPI Password
    • Description: (this should be automatically set to Exchange)
  6. Select "Next"
  7. If you are prompted to enter the server or domain, fill out the fields as follows:
    • Server: outlook.office365.com
    • Domain: leave the domain blank
      • Select "Save"

If Exchange ActiveSync resources are not available on your phone, or if simply entering in your email address and password in Exchange ActiveSync does not work, you can select "Manual Setup" at the beginning of the Exchange email setup process and enter these settings:

  • Username: Your WPI Email Address
  • Password: Your Windows Password
  • Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Domain: leave the domain blank
  • SSL: Yes

WPI allows community members to access WPI email from mobile devices.

Please note: WPI provides the ability to remotely wipe all data from a connected mobile device in the event it is stolen, lost, or compromised. A remote wipe can be executed by the WPI account owner or requested through the Service Desk.

Backup of personal data on any mobile device is the responsibility of the device holder.
