Requirements

  • Active WPI account
  • Usage is governed by the WPI Acceptable Use Policy
  • Use of WPI Network or VPN if off-campus

Connect to Windows Terminal Servers

  1. Press the Windows  Key on your keyboard
  2. Type remote desktop in the search bar and press Enter
  3. Enter the following in the computer field and click connect. For example: windows.wpi.edu
    • You can connect to other WPI Terminal Servers using this method, including academic and teaching servers like:
      • arcts-lab1.wpi.edu
      • arcts-lab2.wpi.edu
  4. When prompted for login credentials, press More Options and select connect with different credentials 
  5. Log in with username@wpi.edu and your WPI password

Your machine should then bring up the terminal server.

File Storage

WPI recommends you do NOT save any work to the local terminal server machine. Any files saved to the terminal server may be lost once your session has disconnected.

WPI IT recommends you save your work to your WPI OneDrive to ensure no work is lost.
