About

The WPI Academic Research Computing team offers beginner and advanced training on a variety of Science and Engineering Software Applications (SESA). These trainings are for all members of the WPI Community. Some of the SESA include:

  • Matlab
  • MathCAD
  • Ansys
  • Comsol
  • LabVIEW

All training sessions are held in the Design Studio in Higgins Labs, and requires participants to sign up in advance.

Customized Trainings

ARC also offers individual, custom training sessions for classrooms and researchers. These trainings can cover multiple software applications, and can be geared to meet whatever the project teams' or researchers' goals are!

Faculty that would like to incorporate the SESA programs into their courses can work with members of the ARC team to develop SESA assignments and laboratory activities.

Software Availability

While the ARC team can work with you on how to leverage the functionality of the various SESA programs, availability of these applications are limited. The majority of the applications cannot be installed on personally-owned, or WPI-provisioned, devices due to licensing agreements with the software vendors. Please review the Software Catalog for additional information on the availability of software in computer labs and servers.
